hi brian , was going to tx you tonight . where we normally stop in calpe was blocked off . then the big area by the rock has been fenced off . the road by lidl etc was packed so we drove on . just north of alicante now .
if we dont see you this trip again have a good one .
Just head out of calpe to altea and turn right to the motor way but keep straight not on to the motor way there is a good stop there near the water falls with facilities .

motorway ?
we dont use them .
try not to use the n332 if we can avoid it . small roads only for us.
mind sometimes we have to use the n332 or roads like it . but if there is a farm road we try them . get to some grand lovely stops using small tracks .
where we are now we have driven around and down it several years but never stopped only for a cuppa or something . but its ok. might use it again.
really calpe does nothing for us . once seen it you have seen it.
dont like the town but the beach area is ok.
used to stop altea and albir but dont anymore . was great twenty years ago.
another one we used to stop at was just past the old benidorm casino . nice quiet beach etc . but now its an airre and campsite cant stand it .
but thanks for the thought.
have a good one . very hot here today almost too hot.

Went for a walk on the beach today down by the fishing village, car park was pretty busy, mainly cars but saw five Motorhomes (French/German) parked in bays, no camping equipment out just habitation doors open. Local Police were talking to one of the French occupants. Came back an hour later and all Motorhomes had gone !! The only thing I could see wrong was that two vans were too long to fit into the bay's and so could be causing an obstruction, but other three looked okay to me :wasntme:

It is on the way to Callosa d'en Searria on the way to the water falls on the C70 but you have to turn right where the motor way sign is . Through la nucia the 332 is the coast road . Taberna is a good place to visite also confidies the last leper place in spain .

Cañada de Gallego, Murcia.

Should any of you be heading down to the Goat Meadow, be advised that the lands owner has dug a trench around it preventing it being used for parking on......sadly yet another wildcaming place lost to us....

Thanks for this. We find that there are fewer and fewer wild camping sites available, so tend to use aires or campsites. We are in Gijón now (campsite): very good, but found 2 wonderful aires on the north coast of Spain. Bilbao's is on a hill with amazing views of the city (Football stadium, Guggenheim) and also in Cóbreces, Cantabria between Santillana del Mar and Comillas, but they are private and have to pay, €15 for Bilbao and €12 for Cóbreces.
