Hello all. We've been on the road in our tag axle kon tiki since march this year and have been wildcamping in the UK and France for the last 3 months. Glad to now be part of this on-line fulltimers community :)

    Hi welcome.
We have been full timing too since April in France. We have stayed on Aires and we have also used the camp 4 night App and only booked onto a camp site for a few days. Our intention next year is to spend some time wild camping, where have you wild camped in UK?
Enjoy your new life, we are. :thumb:

    Hi Ollie,
We spent May and June in France too but had to come back to blighty for dr's appointments etc. We use searchforsites to find wildcamping spots and it's turned out to be really useful every day! There's loads of places about, which is great in England as it seems to be the least motorhome friendly country in the world. Glad you're enjoying the freedom of it too :) Does the camp 4 night app cover England too?

    Hi Steve
You are so right England is not very Motorhome friendly.
Sorry the App is called Park4night and yes it gives a few stops but not many. Where abouts in England are you from?

My wife's from Yorkshire and I'm from Essex, originally but I've lived in Yorkshire for 30 years. We're in a rainstorm in Northumberland at the moment Lol. How about you guys, where are you from and where are you now? (Don't tell me about the weather....) :lipssealed: Lol

We are from Cambridge. At the moment we are in the Pyrenees on a Park4night stop waiting for the weather to clear as we intend to do a walk in the Cirque de Gavarnie. If you are ever over this way it's a good stop over, (Gedre) has toilets and water also we have managed to pick up wifi with a booster from the tourist office which is opposite. :)

Hi, hope the weather cleared enough for the walk! Unfortunately it rained most of the night here and the sun's making brief sporadic appearances this morning, hey ho, t'is England... Sounds like a good spot you're at, with water and toilets the most essential elements are covered! We use a Hauawi mifi box from 3 for our internet access. It allows 12gig per month in Europe or 20 in Britain :) Have a great day!

The weather cleared and sun came out for a while, so yes had lovely walk. We also use a mifi and 12 gig from 3 but for some reason they only allow us to use 9gig. Hope the weather improves for you.

Glad you got the finer weather, we picked the night 'storm Amelia' hit the UK to wildcamp at one of the highest points in Durham, Cow Green reservoir. It was scary and like trying to sleep on a bucking bronco! Our Moho's 5 tonne but it felt like we would be flipped over at any moment Lol, quite an experience!
We've been applying for jobs at campsites in the UK to save up more money to fund our travels next year, so we've been all over for interviews, Norfolk the week before last, Northumberland on Friday last, then Wales next Monday and Dorset on Wednesday!!! Racking up the miles and seeing some beautiful places en route Hope you're enjoying your travels

That was it for the good weather. We set off for Spain going the scenic route over the Pyrenees, beautiful drive. Arrived in Pamplona and unfortunately only had one good day. We arrived at an Aires in Lekeitio and it's been on off rain all day but hey still happy days. :thumb:
You sound like you have been busy, fingers crossed you get a position on a campsite.
